I watched the Ray Johnson documentary yesterday called "How to Draw a Bunny".
All I really knew Ray Johnson for were his magical collages and the fact that he sent them in the mail to people all over the world.
The documentary elaborated on his life and went into depth about his work. The element of his life that hit me the most was not the crazy existence that he lead, but rather the intention of most of his mailed art. The collages were just because, and used the images and material in his daily life.
Today my button is a collage of my past 24 hours. An homage to Ray, you could say, and the beauty in making things merely for the sake of being inspired but what surrounds you every day.
