I have a new obsession: Typography. Architecture with words. So amazing.
Spent the day working on, reading about, and pondering in general this wonderful new world of glyphs and ligatures. I have found myself taken by the subtle lines and curve that make up the words around us.
I gave my first button to a friend, of my best friend, whom I met for the first time on Main St. today. He is shy and subtle and I enjoyed his quiet company and the contrast it created with the silliness that inevitably transpires when my best friend and I are together.
The text on my first button is the Helvetica typeface. For all you Helvetica hatters out there, eat it. For me Helvetica is simple and honest. Something I am striving to be more of at the moment...honest that is, not simple.
